Wildfire Devours 1,000 Acres Near Mountain Home AFB

Wildfire Devours 1,000 Acres Near Mountain Home Afb

A wildfire near Tindall Road has burned 1,556 acres south of Mountain Home Air Force Base, with containment efforts underway by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The Tindall Fire started around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, with expectations for containment by 6 p.m. Wednesday and control by 8 p.m. Thursday. The cause is under investigation. Suppression efforts include various firefighting resources. Additionally, the Medbury Fire, located between Mountain Home and Hammett, began around 6:33 p.m. Tuesday and has burned approximately 100 acres, with similar containment estimates.
