The Watershed Foundation is hosting its eighth annual Snapshot Water Monitoring Day on Thursday, September 19, from 2-6 p.m. Community members are encouraged to volunteer as citizen scientists, collecting and analyzing water samples in Whitley, Noble, and Kosciusko counties. Participants will measure key water quality indicators such as dissolved oxygen, pH, and E. coli. Event coordinator Caitlin Yoder emphasizes the importance of community involvement and the accessibility of the event to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Volunteers will receive training and materials, and no prior experience is necessary. Registration closes on September 9. Interested individuals can sign up at tinyurl.com/TWFsnapshotday2024.
