The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation recently announced 30 awards from the Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund, totaling $12.5 million, with grantees committing nearly $17 million in matching funds. This results in a total conservation impact of $29.3 million aimed at restoring and protecting land and water resources in the Delaware River Watershed. The initiative emphasizes collaboration across communities to safeguard clean drinking water for 14.2 million people and enhance wildlife habitats. Over half of the projects are led by Coalition members, showcasing the strength of their network. The funding supports crucial ecological research and significant restoration projects, ensuring the watershed remains a vital resource for wildlife and public recreation for future generations. Since 2018, the fund has financed 270 projects that boost fish and wildlife and improve community quality of life.
