Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman announced several initiatives and appointments in recent news releases. Notably, Pamela Condos has been appointed as the new Director of the Division of Children & Family Services, succeeding Ron Rogers following his retirement. Additionally, the annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is scheduled for May 31, and a call for nominations for the inaugural Kenosha County Veteran of the Year Award has been initiated. Kerkman also revealed a refreshed county website with improved navigation and a new URL. Furthermore, she was elected President of the Wisconsin County Executives and Administrators Association and confirmed the opening of Kenosha County golf courses for the season. A report addressing the opioid crisis was also published, reinforcing the county’s commitment to tackling addiction issues.
