Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman announced several initiatives and appointments in recent news releases. Notably, Pamela Condos has been appointed as the new Director of the Division of Children & Family Services, succeeding Ron Rogers following his retirement. Additionally, the annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is scheduled for May 31, and a call for nominations for the inaugural Kenosha County Veteran of the Year Award has been initiated. Kerkman also revealed a refreshed county website with improved navigation and a new URL. Furthermore, she was elected President of the Wisconsin County Executives and Administrators Association and confirmed the opening of Kenosha County golf courses for the season. A report addressing the opioid crisis was also published, reinforcing the county’s commitment to tackling addiction issues. Overall, these announcements highlight ongoing efforts in leadership, community services, and resource management within Kenosha County.
