Raccoon River Watershed Association Hosts Engaging Virtual Conference

The Raccoon River Watershed Association is hosting a virtual conference titled “Something in the Water? The Environmental Quality of Iowa’s Waters” on the Raccoon River, scheduled for tomorrow from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom. The event features five speakers discussing various topics, including updates on the Iowa Stream Nitrate report, monitoring cattail species, the use of aquatic drones for assessing stream water quality, songbirds in agricultural fields, and Iowa’s agricultural conservation history.

Chris Henning, RRWA President, will open the conference, and pre-registration is required but free. A detailed program schedule outlines the speakers and topics for the event.
