A rapidly spreading wildfire in New Jersey has grown to 8,500 acres, leading to over 3,000 evacuations and threatening more than 1,300 structures. The fire originated in the Greenwood Forest Wildlife Management Area on Tuesday morning, with only 10% containment reported. While no injuries have occurred, several businesses have been destroyed. The blaze has caused power outages for more than 26,000 customers and closed part of the Garden State Parkway. Air quality has worsened due to thick smoke, prompting health advisories. The fire is happening amid a drought warning in the state, with conditions expected to remain dry. Wind gusts are forecasted to decrease later, improving firefighting conditions.
