The event “What’s in Your Watershed?” combined environmental cleanup with art, raising awareness about environmental issues and encouraging community involvement. Hosted by the University’s COASTS program, it attracted over 60 participants who cleaned up the Long Wharf waterfront, learning about watershed pollution, including microplastics. Artist sTo Len, who incorporated litter into his exhibition, emphasized the power of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing environmental concerns. The event aimed to inspire future scientists and promote a critical understanding of environmental impacts. Additional outreach events are planned, highlighting the ongoing commitment to community engagement and sustainability through art and science.
