Aaron Zettler-Mann, of the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL), emphasized that 80% of Californians rely on Yuba water, making forest health vital for water quality. Restoration efforts include removing invasive plants and planting native trees, with $23 million already invested since 2020. Legislative staff highlighted the significance of forest protection as both an environmental and public health concern. The tour was organized by EcoFlight, aimed at showcasing critical environmental issues.
