Ambassadors will work in various watershed areas, conducting water quality monitoring and community outreach. The program includes three full-time Source Water Protection Ambassadors focused on protecting drinking water sources. Participants serve for 10 months, receive a stipend of up to $25,000, and can earn an education award of up to $7,395. Previous participants have used the program to advance careers in environmental science. More details can be found on the DEP website.
