Federal funding of approximately $4 million has been released for the restoration of lands and streams in the Upper Colorado River Basin, particularly around Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. This funding was frozen in February but was released in April, as reported by Northern Water. The reasons for the funding freeze and subsequent release remain unclear, and U.S. Congressman Joe Neguse did not comment on the situation.
