A wildfire near Sutherlin, Oregon, called the Turkey Hill fire, ignited Sunday afternoon. The Douglas Forest Protective Association responded with support from local fire departments and law enforcement. The fire, which affected 10.9 acres, led to temporary lane closures on I-5 Southbound but was fully reopened by 8 p.m. Crews established a perimeter and began extinguishing hot spots with no evacuations or threats to structures reported. Smoke may still be seen along the Interstate, but no delays are in effect.
