Denpasar City’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a weather warning for Bali from April 6-8, 2024, forecasting heavy rains, strong winds, and lightning, particularly in regions such as Karangasem, Klungkung, Tabanan, and Badung. Residents are advised to stay alert, as thunderstorms may occur briefly. Extreme weather is also expected in Badung, Denpasar, Gianyar, Bangli, Buleleng, and Karangasem on April 7-8, which could result in toppled trees, floods, and landslides. Additionally, ship operators and marine tourism activities may be affected by high waves reaching over two meters. The BMKG noted the development of tropical cyclone 96S, which could intensify and affect surrounding provinces with moderate to heavy rainfall and strong winds.
