Central Oregon Community College (COCC) and the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council (UDWC) are hosting part two of the “Learn About Your Home Waters” speaker series, focusing on the Upper Deschutes watershed, starting April 10 in Sunriver. The six-session series runs every other Thursday and concludes with a field tour on June 13. It aims to educate the community about watersheds, water conservation, and local fish and wildlife. Sessions will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sunriver Nature Center. The cost is $59, and registration is open on COCC’s website or by phone. Notable speakers include representatives from the U.S. Forest Service and Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. The Upper Deschutes Watershed Council has been engaged in watershed protection and restoration since 1996. For inquiries, contact provided emails.
