A California farm, Rosemary Farm in Santa Maria, is donating around 270,000 fresh eggs to residents affected by recent wildfires in the Los Angeles area, along with nearly 55,000 eggs for firefighters and first responders. The initiative involves collaboration with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and the nonprofit Gather For Good. Additionally, some eggs will be used by Winter Fate Bakes to create birthday cakes for displaced children. This donation comes amid soaring egg prices linked to a national bird flu outbreak and rising production costs. Many grocery stores are imposing purchase limits due to the shortages.
