The Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association’s Water and Wildlife Summer Camp, now in its fourth year, provides local middle schoolers with hands-on experience in biology and environmental sciences. Held at Onanda Park, the camp teaches students water quality monitoring, giving insights into the health of Canandaigua Lake. This year, new testing equipment was purchased to enhance water analysis. Camp counselor Abby Zanowick emphasized the importance of educating youth to protect the ecosystem for future generations. The annual program is supported by a $10,000 grant from the Canandaigua Rotary Club.
