Senator Maria Collett announced $249,600 in Act 13 grant funding for five projects in the 12th District aimed at enhancing outdoor spaces and watersheds. The funding, which comes from gas well impact fees, supports community initiatives such as streambank restoration, flood studies, trail extensions, a community playground, and park rehabilitation. Collett emphasized the importance of parks and recreation in fostering vibrant communities and creating jobs. Grant recipients include Lansdale Borough, Lower Gwynedd Township, Upper Dublin Township Municipal Authority, Variety, The Children’s Charity, and Plymouth Township.
