In Utah, significant land restoration efforts have successfully addressed habitat loss and wildlife impacts. From July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources restored 144,433 acres through its Watershed Restoration Initiative. The initiative included 120 restoration projects, improved 142 miles of streams, and spread 743,787 pounds of seed, also supporting 539 jobs.

Key activities involved aerial seeding after wildfires, removing invasive trees to protect sagebrush habitats, and employing artificial beaver dam structures for erosion control. Since its inception in 2006, nearly 3 million acres have been rehabilitated. The agency emphasizes the importance of community involvement in these environmental efforts.
