The Middle Fork of the Crow River Watershed District is seeking to promote current program manager Jon Morales as the new administrator to succeed Dan Coughlin, who is resigning effective Feb. 21 to become vice president of operations at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul. Coughlin has over 25 years of public administration experience, previously serving as city administrator for Olivia. Morales has been with the district since 2015 and has a background in environmental science. The district is also exploring a nanobubble system installation for water quality improvement, collaborating with the Diamond Lake Area Recreation Association.
