The fourth annual “Learn About Your Home Waters” speaker series, focusing on Central Oregon’s Whychus watershed, begins on February 24. Organized by Central Oregon Community College and the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council, it features presentations and field trips every other Tuesday through April 7. Events include fly-casting, gyotaku printmaking, and a film night, all for $59. The Whychus watershed, originating in the Three Sisters Wilderness and merging with the Deschutes River, offers community insights into its ecology and restoration efforts. Registration is open at cocc.edu/watershed or by calling 541-383-7270. For more information, contact Kolleen Miller at the UDWC.
