A wildfire broke out in the Tsakaioi area of Karystos on Evia Island early this morning, leading to the evacuation of a nearby hotel. The fire service reports signs of improvement as 75 firefighters, 23 fire engines, and aerial support from two aircraft and helicopters work to contain the blaze. Residents received a 112 emergency alert, advising them to remain vigilant and follow official instructions.
