The San Juan Water Conservancy District is hosting a free screening of “Thinking Like Water” at the Liberty Theater on September 9, starting at 6:15 p.m. The film features Bill Zeedyk and his team’s efforts in restoring wet meadow systems in the American Southwest, which have enhanced biodiversity and resilience against erosion and climate extremes. A panel discussion with local restoration experts will follow the screening. Additionally, there is a wet meadow restoration event on September 13, led by SJWCD intern Monica Nigon, where volunteers can apply Zeedyk’s methods. To participate, contact Monica via email.
