First responders swiftly contained a wildland fire in Boulder County, Colorado, on Thursday evening, limiting it to a quarter-acre. The fire was reported at 7 p.m. on U.S. Forest Service land near Bald Mountain. Multiple agencies, including the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and local fire districts, responded to the scene. Gusty winds were influencing the fire’s direction, but no structures were threatened, and there were no injuries. The U.S. Forest Service is investigating the cause of the fire.
