Last week, J. Marcos Maia and his team from the Mato Grosso Fire Department responded to a wildfire in Brazil. During their efforts, they rescued a small armadillo affected by smoke and heat. Maia expressed the importance of every life, stating they decided to help the armadillo, offering it water and moving it to safety. After confirming the animal was unharmed, they released it. Maia noted the rewarding nature of their work, emphasizing that protecting wildlife is a crucial part of their duty as firefighters.
