Three students from the New Hope-Solebury High School Class of 2025—Cadence Scott, Devon Maguire, and Lila Graney—were awarded Malcolm P. Crooks Scholarships by the Aquetong Watershed Association (AWA) for their academic achievements and community involvement in the physical and environmental sciences. Cadence will study biology at Middlebury College, while Devon and Lila plan to major in environmental science and biology, respectively, at Lehigh University. The scholarship, established in 2013, honors the late Malcolm P. Crooks, a dedicated environmentalist and founder of several conservation nonprofits. The AWA, founded in 2007, aims to protect the Aquetong watershed and its natural resources. More information about the AWA and the scholarship fund can be found on their website.
