Texas has increased scrutiny of data center water consumption, mandating compliance with water use reporting. Governor Abbott emphasized that data centers must share responsibility for protecting state water resources. Noncompliance with reporting requirements may lead to penalties and permit issues. QTS aims to strengthen local water infrastructure while collaborating with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation on conservation efforts.
