The Environmental Science Center in Burien is hosting a series called “Protecting Our Watershed” over three Tuesdays in December 2020, from 7 – 8 p.m. via Zoom. The sessions focus on marine life (Dec. 1), plants (Dec. 8), and bird conservation (Dec. 15).

Each session will feature two speakers discussing local environmental issues, with opportunities for participants to ask questions. Topics include restoration efforts in Seahurst Park, community science projects involving students, the importance of urban forests, and how to identify and count local winter birds. The series aims to engage the community in understanding and enhancing regional watershed health, promoting stewardship of natural resources. Registration is required to participate in the webinars.
