As wildfires rage across California, local Bay Area fire agencies have deployed crews to assist in combating major blazes like the Gifford Fire, which has over 3,000 firefighters working to contain it. Key contributions include Marin County Fire sending over 40 firefighters and bulldozer teams to help create fire lines. CAL FIRE also has personnel assisting from multiple units, while other local departments, such as Alameda and San Francisco Fire, have sent resources to the front lines. With peak fire season here, crews are constantly shifting to tackle new fires and maintain statewide coverage. Authorities stress the importance of year-round fire preparedness due to tinder-dry conditions and high temperatures.
