The East Maui Water Authority is launching its inaugural grant program, inviting applications from individuals, nonprofits, and businesses for projects aimed at watershed restoration, education, research, and cultural knowledge-sharing in Nāhiku, Keʻanae, Honomanū, and Huelo. Applications are open from October 1 to November 5, 2025, for projects running from January 1 to December 31, 2026.

To assist applicants, two sessions will be held: an in-person workshop on October 1 and an online meeting on October 8. Eligible activities include watershed stewardship, community education, and research. Grant guidelines and application forms will be available on the East Maui Water Authority webpage, and it’s essential to submit applications on time, as late submissions will not be accepted.

Created after a voter-approved charter amendment in 2022, the East Maui Water Authority focuses on sustainable water management. More information can be found on their official site or by contacting their office directly.
