The 11th annual Poudre RiverFest will be held on Saturday at New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, expecting over 1,000 attendees. Hosted by the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed and sponsored by CBS Colorado, the event is family-friendly and aims to celebrate the Cache La Poudre River, which serves as a crucial water source for about 400,000 residents and supports local recreation and businesses.
Road closures will allow vendors and educators to highlight their efforts in supporting the river. The coalition focuses on river restoration and watershed planning, particularly in areas affected by wildfires. Attendees can contribute to restoration projects, such as tree planting. The festival will feature live music, food trucks, beer, and educational activities, with CBS News Colorado’s Dillon Thomas as emcee. The event runs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., promoting community engagement and environmental awareness, especially for children.
