In 2023 and 2024, the National Forest Foundation (NFF) will collaborate with the Caddo-LBJ National Grasslands to restore Cottonwood Creek, focusing on 29 miles of mapped and unmapped streams in Wise County, Texas. This project is critical as approximately 30% of Grapevine’s drinking water comes from nearby Lake Grapevine. The NFF has established Stewardship Agreements with the U.S. Forest Service to enhance watershed health in various regions, and this new agreement marks its growth in the Southern U.S. Support from the public is vital for these initiatives.
