Firefighters from 14 states are battling multiple wildfires in North Carolina and South Carolina, notably the Table Rock Fire, which has burned over 11,000 acres and is spreading into North Carolina. The fire has minimal containment, particularly affecting southern Transylvania County. In North Carolina, other significant fires include the Deep Woods Fire, Black Cove Complex Fire, and the newly reported Alarka Fire in the Nantahala National Forest. A burn ban is in effect across the Carolinas as efforts continue to protect homes and manage the spread of these fires. Fire retardants are being used to assist in containment efforts, demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding both properties and the environment.
