Darrow Road Park in Hudson, Ohio, will close for 4-6 weeks starting July 21 for a $260,000 stream restoration project funded by Tinkers Creek Watershed Partner. The project aims to restore a healthy stream system by reshaping a deep, straight ditch that has disconnected from its floodplain. This restoration will improve stream function, create diverse habitats, control invasive species through native reintroduction, reduce erosion, and enhance water quality. EnviroScience, Inc., along with RiverReach Construction and GPD Group, will lead the project. For more details, visit the Darrow Road Stream Restoration website.
