Pine Mountain Fire Stabilized at 2,866 Acres with 25% Containment

Pine Mountain Fire Stabilized At 2,866 Acres With 25% Containment

Firefighters are managing the Pine Mountain Fire, initially a prescribed burn that expanded uncontrollably near Bend, Oregon. As of Saturday, the fire spans approximately 2,866 acres and is 25% contained. Crews are focusing on securing the fire perimeter and addressing heat pockets in vulnerable areas to prevent flare-ups. Resources deployed include five hotshot crews, four bulldozers, and 13 engines, among others. The Bureau of Land Management has temporarily closed public lands nearby to ensure safety and support firefighting efforts.
