A wildfire was reported near 1400 Shoshoni Camp Road, Gilpin County, on October 10. Multiple agencies, including Timberline Fire Protection and Gilpin Ambulance Authority, responded after residents reported smoke and flames. The fire was approximately 100 feet by 100 feet, fueled by a west wind. Crews established a containment line and officially contained the fire by 8:19 p.m., remaining on-site until late to manage hot spots. The fire was human-caused, and Timberline Fire Chief Paul Ondr expressed gratitude to the responding agencies and personnel. Ongoing checks will ensure no further hot spots remain.
