Wildfire Threatens Pena Adobe Park Near Vacaville

A vegetation fire near Pena Adobe Park in Vacaville, initially called the Pena Fire, spread to about 2 acres before being renamed the Cherry Fire. Fire crews responded shortly before noon, and the fire’s spread slowed as conditions changed. Two lanes of eastbound Interstate 80 were closed due to the fire, causing delays for drivers. An estimated reopening time was not provided.
