Join SPAWN and Pacific Watershed Associates on May 6 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for a Field Showcase in the Lagunitas Creek Watershed, highlighting the Sediment Load Reduction Project. The event features a presentation on project goals and strategies, followed by a guided tour of key restoration sites, including floodplain restoration and sediment control improvements.

The initiative aims to reduce sediment that threatens juvenile salmon habitats through road upgrades and redesigns. Watershed Conservation Manager Ayano Hayes emphasizes the significant impact of reducing erosion on water quality and habitat conditions. Funded by the EPA, this project showcases effective restoration efforts.

Attendance is limited to 20 participants. Interested individuals should RSVP to Ayano Hayes at ahayes@tirn.net. Don’t miss the chance to witness vital restoration work and connect with others in conservation.
