Residents in the Allenspark area were warned to prepare for evacuation due to a 6-acre wildfire known as the Dry Creek Fire. Over 100 responders were on-site, using aircraft and flame retardant to combat the blaze, which was challenging to access because of the terrain. Evacuations were advised for those living north or east of Colorado 7, and updates were communicated through the county’s emergency notification system. The fire, reported at 7 a.m., was located in a remote wilderness area, and while smoke was visible from nearby towns, it was not deemed a major threat to the community. The situation remains developing, with further updates expected.
