The Nehalem Basin Partnership is organizing site tours and public meetings to discuss salmon habitat restoration in the Nehalem Watershed. Meetings will take place on July 13, August 4, and August 17, from 4-6 PM at the North County Recreation District. They will showcase past and current restoration projects, including a documentary about wood placements on West Fork Coal Creek. The aim is to inform landowners about restoration opportunities and encourage them to engage in habitat improvement on their properties, potentially joining the Partnership’s 10-year work plan. For details, contact the Nehalem Bay Watershed Council or visit their website. This initiative is supported by grants from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board and the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund.
