DCED Secretary Rick Siger emphasized that investments in environmental and infrastructure projects in Pennsylvania are enhancing community safety and well-being. The Act 13 Program funding includes:
- Flood Mitigation Program: Five projects funded at $813,520, notably $265,380 for the Mansfield Flood Mitigation Project in Tioga County.
- Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program: 119 projects approved with $12,122,417 total funding, including $100,000 for Srouji Park improvements in Hampden Township.
- Sewage Facilities Program: Two projects with $77,529 total funding, such as $52,529 for Lowell Township’s Act 537 plan update.
- Watershed Restoration Protection Program: Nine projects funded at $1,095,895, including $100,000 for improvements to Woodland Park pond in O’Hara Township.
