The Mobile Bay National Estuary Program announced progress on the Lower Fish River Watershed Restoration project via Facebook. Construction is ongoing at Schoolhouse Branch and four failing bluffs on the Magnolia River, with channel and floodplain work over halfway complete. Two bluffs are finished, and the next step involves planting native vegetation. Engineers involved are from Goodwyn Mills Cawood and Volkert Inc., with Streamline Environmental as the contractor.
