The St. Croix Watershed Research Station is seeking applications for the “Artist at Pine Needles” residency program for summer 2018. Artists and writers interested in environmental themes can apply until February 28, 2018. Since its inception in 2001, the program has hosted over 40 participants who explore the intersection of art and science in the scenic St. Croix River area. Residents interact with local scientists and are encouraged to create outreach projects for the community. Past artists include writer Sarah Stonich and sculptor Elizabeth Belz. For application details, visit the Research Station’s website or contact Sharon Mallman. Decisions will be announced by March 30, 2018.
