The Growing Greener program in Pennsylvania has awarded grants for 89 projects across 40 counties, aimed at improving water quality and restoring habitats. DEP Secretary Jessica Shirley emphasized the importance of these investments for cleaner drinking water and reduced pollution. Notable projects include multi-county initiatives focused on aquatic connectivity and sustainable communities. Additionally, funds from a penalty paid by Energy Transfer are allocated for projects improving watersheds along pipeline routes. Furthermore, six projects received funding for updating stormwater management plans across several counties.
