Firefighters in western Nova Scotia are making significant progress in containing the Long Lake wildfire, which has been active for over a month. The fire is currently held at 84 square kilometers, and no new damage was reported over the weekend, despite smoky conditions in Annapolis County. Infrared cameras indicate progress, but large hot spots remain. Ground crews from Nova Scotia and Quebec, supported by helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, are engaged in firefighting efforts.
