Insurers Rejected in Wildfire Smoke Claims Against FAIR Plan

Insurers Rejected In Wildfire Smoke Claims Against Fair Plan

Twelve insurance companies have been removed from five lawsuits alleging the California FAIR Plan mishandled smoke damage claims from the Eaton Canyon and Pacific Palisades wildfires. This decision followed a status conference where the companies’ attorneys informed Judge Samantha P. Jessner that there was insufficient reason to continue their involvement. As a result, the FAIR Plan remains the only defendant in these cases.
