Wildfire Threat Near Lewiston Leads To Road Closures And Evacuations

An active wildfire is being fought northeast of Lewiston, Idaho, with assistance from the Idaho Department of Lands and Nez Perce County Fire. The Idaho State Police is managing evacuations and road closures, particularly on Hatwai Road. The ISP has urged the public to avoid the area to allow emergency crews to work safely. Multiple fire units continue to combat the blaze, and updates will be provided as further information becomes available.
