The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is offering a free 30-45 minute in-house science presentation for elementary and high school teachers and community groups. The program focuses on watershed and environmental concepts, emphasizing their importance for community sustainability. Freeholder Chairman Mohamed S. Jalloh highlighted the opportunity for participants to learn how human actions affect local land and waterways. Delivered in collaboration with AmeriCorp, these hands-on presentations, which have been running since 1999, include a 3D topographic model and provide practical solutions for reducing pollution, such as minimizing pesticide use and managing pet waste.
